Satay Zul, take a guess where is it? Hihihih.. in Kuantan. Last March, MMU had a President's Roadtour, all over Malaysia. one of the stop is Kuantan, in fact, it's our first stop.
after a long day from KL, setting up the hall, entertaining visitors and guests, dismantle the setup and finally it's time for us to find something to eat. it's about 11pm already. Cheong, FIST guy from melaka suggest we go for satay zul. it's not far from the hotel we are staying. he claimed it's one of the best satay place in Kuantan. Anyone from Kuantan agreed on this? pls let me know ya!
satay zul is located in mid of Kuantan city centre. it's very near to Vistana Hotel. and you can easily find it from the main road. what do they serves there? hmm.. basically satay, lots of it with many variety to choose from. if u don't like chicken satay, u can hv meat. or deer, or perut and etc etc. lots of it. nope! no vege satay ever exist (if u r wondering about it!)
one of the special dish they serve is Nasi Dagang. Which taste very nice. i thought Nasi dagang use special kind of rice for it but here they serve it with white rice which smells slightly different from normal white rice. not sure what they've put in. anyway, it's very nice to have something to enjoy after a very very very long day of work.

Birthday Bash
Recently, we've celebrated kak Juwi's birthday!! Happy belated birthday Kak Juwi. We went out for makan-makan at Secret Recipe in Cyberjaya. (where else? It's lunchtime!) Here are some photos for the day!
Sometimes, we took things for granted. Didn't realize what we have around us might be the best that works for us now. Best place to work, best collagues, best environment. Compare it to my previous workplace, i know i should be really gratefull for all the stuff that He blessed me with. Thanks
Manhattan Fish Market
As i said before, Friday lunch break is the best day for you to go around and experience a new restaurant or cafe with your buddies. Hihihih. Where did we go this time?As per title, Manhattan Fish Market in Alamanda, Putrajaya.
Simple deco, very attentive staff and cozy environment makes the restaurant slightly different from others. What do u expect? It's franchisee, of course it looks the same as other MFM around Malaysia. Dunno what i'm mumbling about.
We had Dori fish for lunch, at first it taste very nice, after finished the first fillet, i don't think i can finish the second fillet. i think it's because it's deep fry, the oil tends to make you feel noxious. not really good eh. Okay lah, after settling our bill, all of us got fridge magnet. hihihi. something good for me!

Penang House
After all the meals and trips we took to Penang House in Street Mall, i don't think i've ever mentioned it in my blog. i wonder why. they have quite nice food at very reasonable price there. still i didn't think of putting it up on this blog.
One of small things that makes me happy is having a good meal with good company. Hahaha, u know who u r! Penang House is just at Street Mall, to those who still doesn't know where Street Mall is, u can google it here
http://maps.google.com.my/maps/mpl?ie=UTF8&moduleurl=http://maps.google.com.my/help/maps/local_search/mapplet.html&mapclient=google&f=q&hl=en&utm_campaign=en_US&utm_medium=hpp&utm_source=en_US-hpp-apac-my-gns-gm
Okay lah! Penang House specialties are meals from Penang, except Nasi Kandar, others are serve here. Rojak Buah, Char Koey Teow, Fish Head Curry, and etc etc. Lots to choose from. The one that we had the other day were Cantonese Gravy Beef Koey Teow, Rojak Buah, Beef Fried Rice, Chicken Paprika with white rice, Char Koey Teow.. can't remember what else we had that day. Of course you can't compare the food in Penang House with the one that we had in Penang itself. It's totally different. I think in Penang, they might have their own secret recipe that makes it very special and unique. Even if u want to open a cafe or restaurant with Penang's foods, u have to go to Penang and study it, master it before you can open your own Penang Style Restaurant/Food.
Hope you guys would enjoy this. Nothing much to say coz the food is just average. not as good as Penang. HUhuhuh.. I miss penang badly now. I'm preparing something better for you. so check out my blog ye!

Laksa Janggus
Sure it's fun to drive around and try new stuff, new food and new environment. sounds like i'm off to somewhere not in malaysia. hihih. i'm went back to penang last weekend and some how manage to squeeze in a lil trip to have laksa janggus with my bff, awe.
we went out for wolverine, tickets sold out and there's only couple of seats left in the front row. frustated, we tried to check other movies; it's just the same. i think people are using labour day as relaxing day or movie day like what we r doing now. we bought the front row seats. lucky enough the seats tilt back a bit so u won't cramp your neck while watching 2 hours of Hugh Jackman (wolverine), Danny Henney (zero) and Taylor Kitchs (gambit). Hehehe.. googled them after the movie.
so, after having so much of them, (their images planted in my head up until now) awe and i went off to balik pulau, even though she's staying in penang, she haven't tried laksa janggus yet. what's so special about laksa janggus?
honestly speaking, i'm not a huge fan of laksa. i've tried few laksa penang before. a friend of mine, shara is a big sucker for laksa. she can have it everyday. there are few places i went to and tried the laksa, like kuala kangsar laksa (sucks!), laksa shack (even worse! i don't think they should be allow to operate!).
laksa janggus serves penang style laksa. for those who doesn't know, there are different kind of laksa in malaysia, laksa penang, laksa kedah, laksa kelantan, laksa johor, laksa singapura. Laksa Janggus offers laksa penang, small bowl for RM1.20 and regular bowl for RM2.oo and u can't even finish the regular bowl. it's a lot. there's other meal as well, kuey teow soup, mee hoon soup and some cucur udang, pisang goreng and of course rojak! u have to q up to get your laksa and drinks. oh ya! apart from laksa, u should try ABC. air batu campur or in penang they are known as ais kacang.
don't be confused ya, laksa janggus (janggus is cashewnut) doesn't has cashewnut serves with any meals. it's just happened that the place is located under cashewnut's tree. lovely place. lovely village environment.
how to get there? well, basically u have to get to penang first, then just follow a signboard to Balik Pulau, u can take Relau or Genting to get to Balik Pulau. Once u r in Balik Pulau, search for Pulau Bentong or Kampung Perlis, once u've turn in, turn left on the first junction, drive on till u see a pink mosque/masjid, turn right on it just drive straight, u can see there's lots of cars parked alongside of the road. laksa janggus would be on your right. it's open everyday except wednesday, 2pm till 7.30pm.
have fun!

Forgot to tell you guys on the blog that could settle your problem to find a very nice place to dine! it's malaysia most wanted food. i've attached the link in my blog. you can always surf it and choose the best cuisine for u and your love ones! U can choose by type of food or location, and they will spell out everything in their database for u. easier right? there's a column for ratings and should u think u want rate the restaurant, be free to do it (speaks like i own the blog! hahahah) Have fun! i'm still new in all this blogging thing, so don't forget to come back and i'll share u my experience in other places as well. :D
Big Plate
After quite sometime i didn't update my blog, feels good to update it during office hour! hihihih :P
Okay, this time i would like to introduce BIG PLATE to you guys. it's located in Subang Perdana, near Kampung Melayu. You can xs it from Kg Melayu or from Shah Alam. Dunno how to get there? Use Google Map. Hihihih.
Okay, a friend of mine introduce me to this restaurant long time ago. since i'm a student. now i feel old! U can see the restaurant from the main road. Nothing much to comment on the interior deco. looks the same over the years.
i went there with my sisters, linda & ida. i had lamb chop - can't remember the full name of it. My sis was having chicken subang. as u can see in the pic, the presentation is very nice and the price is very affordable! the best thing about BIG PLATE is their mushroom soup. don't forget to order it for your appetizer.
share me your experience ye!

Pecah Perintah
Pecah dan Perintah, divide and rule. I believe most of the countries in the world are using this technique to rule. coz it's easy, less trouble, less headache and mostly one group doesn't know what the other is doing. isn't it easy to rule when your people are clueless and fighting with each other and they see you as a hero, their knight in shining armour who is willing to save them in their time of needs. the fact is, u just pretending to save your people. u are taking advantage on the situation that you've created.
Divide & Rule is a success, proven by the British who conquered Malaysia before, India and few other countries. they gave us independent and yet we are still fighting with each other about independent. isn't it enough to live with each other and tolerate so all of us could be happy?
i'm not talking about malaysia of course! i care about malaysia, and i stand with people who wanted to make it one nation. not by races. no more races. only religion to differentiate who we are.
the system being applied at my workplace and it is soooooo annoying to see people fight each other for nothing. what will u gain by being so calculative in your work? what will people gain from being incharge in everything? only trouble and more trouble and more stress and another kind of stress and another stress. so stop pointing fingers to each other and lets work something out of it. blaming other people won't help u to get what u want.
i'm extremely tired and sick of this place. i know all these happens to other places as well, but to live and face it everyday is not something i would do. not something i would want to live in. may be it's better if i start a new chapter of my life somewhere else. its just maybe..

Mak Ngah's Cafe
Again, make full use of Friday lunch hour.. Heheheh! Love it!
So, this time we went to Mak Ngah Cafe (if i'm not mistaken) at Putrajaya, it was recommended by a friend of mine, Miza. According to her, the cafe offers nasi padang. To those who doesn't know what Nasi Padang is, read this; Nasi Padang literally means rice from Padang, a place in West Sumatra, Indonesia. In Rendezvous, diners are spoilt for choice as the menu features an array of curry, rendang and sambal items to complement the mandatory staple of white rice. (http://www.streetdirectory.com/restaurants/singapore/reviews/restaurant-Rendezvous_Restaurant_Hock_Lock_Kee-1867.php
Other than nasi padang, the cafe offers western food, bihun sup and few other local kuih. what's special about this cafe? Nothing much to comment, it's a very new cafe, nice wallpaper deco and some okay food. But something catch my interest is the way of the owner treats the customer. Best ever so far. Usually the owner doesn't really ask u if u need plain water or a desert, usually u have to call for assistance. Anyway, we have a very good time there. Even though the food is average, very common, but the atmosphere is lovely.
Should any of you wanted to go there, take putrajaya road to alamanda, instead of turning right at alamanda, keep going straight untill you'll reach presint 16. there's a bunch of shophouses there. once i got the exact address, i'll post it here. till then.. happy food hunting!!

Muara Tanjung Harapan - Seafood's Heaven
I really need to update this blog more regularly (i'm getting lazy actually!!) huhuh..
This past few weeks had been really bad for me (as if it have been better b4). Me n few of my colleagues decided to have seafood hunting. it started with Aisyah, she's very thin and we've always told her. EAT MORE - or do u want half of my weight? she's very picky about her food. so yesterday, she told us that she wanted to have ikan bakar. since we have bika here, y don't we go to a place where we can have a very good food. i suggested muara, port klang or morib.
here we are! having the most fabulous seafood around!! sure you'll die of jealousy. hahahah.. okes. how to get there? take NKVE/PLUS to Klang. From Cyberjaya/Putrajaya exit, the toll would be around RM5.90. Follow signboard Tanjung Harapan/North Port. Just follow the signboard, you'll have to pay RM2.70 for toll to northport. Just drive till you meet a traffic light. Go straight, after a flyover, you have to make a right turn to Muara. It's very easy. there's lots of signage to muara.
there are few restaurant at Tanjung Harapan. the first that you'll see would be a malay restaurant. quite okay. the cook is not as superb as chinese restaurant. my fav is the one at the other end. the food are marvellous. pls order steamed fish with nyonya sauce if u r there. very nice. the price is very reasonable!! most of this restaurant serves fresh seafoods.
try it okay!! daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
