Bagan Lalang Trip

During one of the gathering thinggy, a friend of mine asked, what's ur plan this weekend? And I said, camping. She asked again, where? And I said, Bagan Lalang. She asked again, Bagan what? And I said, Bagan Lalang, Sepang Gold Coast? Does it ring any bell? And she laugh like crazy. (yes, it's you ezan! crazy old ezan)

Not many of us knew that there's a place called Sepang Gold Coast. Which was inspired by MB Selangor at that time, Khir Toyo. It offers nothing compared to Gold Coast in Australia nor UAE. It's just another idea of luxury living. That's not what I'm going to write about.

So, five of us, plus one (last minute rsvp) went to Sepang. To be exact, Bagan Lalang beach for camping trip. It's Shara's idea. The troupees are Awe, Shara, Lydia, Fin and me. Plus one would be Ezan, who join us last minute. We arrived in cowboy town Sg. Pelek around 9, bought everything that we need for camping like sausages, torchlight, drinks, snacks, and topup. Who needs topup during camping Awe?

Lots of fun that nite, roasted some fish, potatoes and sausages. Shara brought nasi beriani from one of her open houses. Hopefully she didn't just kidnap it from kitchen (hihihih) So after settle down, ezan with her machoness borrowed a ball from our neighbour. We form two team of beach futsal. Shara rule out the terms & conditions of the game. She even setup the goal and D area. The winner can bully the loser to do anything that they want. Simple is it? I think we laugh and scream more than we play. Really tiring though. It's been sometime since the last time i have to run and scream plus laughing at the same time. Mad bunch of people were chasing me like crazy!!

I don't think I'm going to write down everything here. What we have is the best camping trip I've ever been. So Thanks Gurls.. You've made my day!! Let's do the 4U2C dance again! Oh ya, for shara, lydia and fin, practice some more okay. hahaha. just kidding! love you guys!

Adham o Adham

Who doesn't love kids? I love kids so much. They are innocent, adorable and unpredictable, which is fun because you'll never know what's inside their head or what will they do next.

My friend Afni is having her wedding reception in Putrajaya (they got married much earlier in August). So Lydia, Kak Shima and me planned to go together to the reception. To my surprise, Kak Shima brought Adham with her. Hahaha. Love it! Adham is her four years old son who can chat about anything. He can talk for hours untill you run out of questions or ideas to tease him. Oh! And he chat with you untill he tired and fell asleep. That's Adham.

Well, Adham did highlight few things during the day. The first one; his mama always broke and his dad always rich. Second, he doesn't want to go to school yet because he doesn't has any fireman sam cap and uniform. Third, he hates smokers and he arrested eddy and fadzli for smoking. Kak Ila got a reminder from Adham too! Aunty Ila, wear your seatbelt! Huhuhuh.. Don't forget it Aunty Ila.

To Afni & Zaki, i hope your wedding will last till the end, heard that you are pregnant; congrats. To Eddy and Diana, your love story will inspire a super telenovela, one day i hope! hahaha.. Congrats guys! Wise man said, Kalau Jodoh Tak Kemana. I hope you guys will last for the rest of your life. Ameen.

Nilli's @ Taipan

Seriously I've been busy for the past couple of weeks. With Open Houses and gatherings. I'm not sure why do people always pick Syawal as their get together month. Anyway, I had lots of fun. Going to one house to another, enjoy Raya food which i love the most. The best part is not exactly the food. The best part is meeting your friends and gossipping about life.

Some people asked me, why do I like open house so much? (I told them my weekend plan, huhuhuh) It's not the open house that I like the most. It's my friends. Although sometimes they can be really annoying but they are still my friends and I love them. Love meeting them and hang out with them.

So this time, a friend of mine need to take a break from what she had been through with her life. We took her out to Nillie's (not sure if it's the correct spelling) at Taipan, Subang. Five of us there. Each of us tried different food kind of food. There's Spaghetti Marinara, Lydia asked for it. It taste okay, not too bad. Kak Shima order Char Koey Teow, sucks! If you want a good Char Koey Teow, try Carlos Restaurant at USJ 9 (next to pizza hut). I had Koey Teow Kungfu, it taste good. Really enjoy it! Abang Ari ordered Hailam Mee, not too bad and Shara ordered lasagna which really really dissappointing. Lasagna should be really creamy and moist. The lasagna served here was waaaaayyy too dry and tasteless. May be they are trying to save the cream sauce. hihihih. anyway, you can't do that if you are operating a restaurant. Words will spread and who knows what will happen next.

I've decided to start rating the restaurant that I've visited. For Nilli's@Taipan, I'll give you ** out of *****. Try harder!!

MMU Open House

Right after Aidilfitri break, most of us in Corporate Communication Unit (CCU) started working for MMU Raya Open House already. Most of major events in MMU will be organized by CCU including this Open House. We had set up a small committee for this event. So most of the arrangement has been made before we leave for Raya.

Sadly, the event gurl; Ms Fiza will be not be with us during the day. She has other commitment. Jo-anne; the new event gurl will take over to organize this event. The day came and we've been running around like headless chicken. I'm the emcee for the event (should be better than sarimah in not time huhuh). The event went smoothly even though there's few things that we've missed. Most of us in CCU are really new, me for example barely a month in CCU, Jo-anne, 10 days. So most of us don't really know the protocol that we really need to understand and memorize especially is we have a big crowd (almost 800 guests) and super duper VIP like Tun Mahathir and Tun CT Hasmah aka Tun M and Tun C. We have Datuk Zamzamzairani and Tan Sri Radzi too from TM Group.

Lesson to be learned; always always always make sure your supplier understood the importantness of VVIP and you yourself should always have plan B. Hahaha. Even though some people complain (who never did?) about what had happened on the day. I still think we manage to pull off quite a successful event. Don't you think?

Saba'

Swish Tawouf.. if I am not mistaken. That's the name of the dish of the above. It comes with special rice (very different from our local rice). The texture much longer than local produced rice. Other than the texture, it taste a bit different. I think its all the spices that being cooked together with the rice. You can eat the rice on its own, without any other dish. Its taste so good! The rice being served with tandoori chicken, lemon, salad, and onions. The salad comes with special sauce. I think its because Malaysian loves something spicy so the chef had to invent his own sauce recipe so we won;t spoil the taste by using western chillie & ketchup sauce. :P

As for the drink, please order lemonade for your drink as it goes much better with the food compared to any other drinks.

Oh ya! The restaurant served non-alcoholic beer. (Malta based drinks) It comes with few choices of flavor. It doesn't taste much like malta based drinks, more to sparkling juice thingy. I'm a bit dissapointed, honestly taste like sparkling drinks.

If you are familiar with Cyberjaya area, the restaurant located at the same building as Multimedia College (opposite Street Mall). You can spot it from the main road. Saba' restaurant serves foods from mid-east specializing in Iranian food. Too much of mid east food lately - well, i'll post new dish sometime within this week. Should be open house dishes..

Overall, the food was just average. I think my father cooked Nasi Bukhara much better than the restaurant did. See ya guys soon. Daaaaa!!

Sawarabina

Huhuhu.. We are in the second week of Syawal. Missed my frens sooo much. Hope none of them bloated with all the rendangs, puluts and ketupats during raya.

So, last nite Shara, Lydia and me went out for dinner. We've tried a new dish called chick peas; originated from Syria. It's an appetizer comes with bread which looks like chapati (but taste much better than chapati) a special sauce from Syria which contain olive oil and diced tomatoes in it. The owner gives us a chance to try arab chilli sauce. It taste very different from the sauce that we've always eat before. The arab chilli sauce is not spicy at all, the chef did put garlic sauce together with the arab chilli sauce. For those who eat it, please standby a mint chewing gum extra strong or you date will ran away!

How to eat the food? Well, i'm not sure how to really eat it but who cares? i really enjoy the meal. Hope you would try it too!

Owh! forgot to mention the location. its called SAWARABINA restaurant, and the one that we went located at Hartamas Square (google it).

Gonna go food hunting! Daaaaaaa
