The Best Gift Ever
9 September marks the new chapter of my life. Alhamdulillah, I had safely delivered a healthy baby girl. Omar and I named her Hanna Nur Zahra. She completes our little family.
In arabic, Hanna means Happiness, Nur means Light, and Zahra means Flower. My MIL had been mentioning Zahra since 2 years back. And Allah makbul her doa, our doa. Allahuakbar. Despite the conditions that I am now, we have a beautiful daughter.
Allahuakbar and Alhamdulillah!

5 Steps I took to Reduce My Sugar
I know its not our favourite activity~ same here. But it works. You don’t have yo do the heavy weight lifting or jogging until your knee came off, just a normal walk, everyday, 20-30 minutes would do. Seriously, you will feel the difference. Your body will burn more calories and after some time doing it consistently, your sugar level will drop. Really!
Malaysians are well known for our sweet drinks. Yes, coffee for morning, syrup for lunch, cendol for tea and teh tarik after dinner. See how much sugar are we consume daily? Change your drinks to juice without sugar or tea/coffee C with sugar aside. At least you can control how much sugar you are taking. Condensed milk is one of the main factor of high sugar in the blood. Its quite impossible to quit immediately. So reduce your sweet drinks gradually.
I am sure most of us especially in Malaysia can’t live without eating rice. Don’t be so dramatic. Reduce your rice intake and eventually you can live without eating rice. Rice, bread, potato, coconut milk and deep fried are not ideal for diabetes. Seriously, give it a try for a week or two. You’ll see what I’m talking about.
Easiest thing to do. We are encouraged to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. That is actually only minimum amount of water you must drink daily. For ideal amount of water to consume, try this, your weight (kg) / 25 = × litre of water you need to drink daily. So, mine is almost 4 litres. A lot? Yes. I tried. Most of the days I only manage to consume 3 litres. Drinking more water will make it easier for your body to process all the stuff that you had taken, increase your metabolism and it also can detox your body.
Going through diabetes on your own can be quite challenging. Sometimes when the craving comes, you need a better control of yourself or your efforts will be wasted when you started to have all those unfriendly-diabetic food again. Exercise self control can take you up so far, having someone to actually be with you every step of the way would be a bonus. So don’t feel sorry for yourself. Join a support group, read more, express more and live life to fullest. Diabetes shouldn’t be a reason for you to stop living.

To sign off this time, I'm sharing me and my baby, my imam and my other half.
Sorry, my first time blogging from my android. Who knows how can I insert photo here?? Help!

Jalan-jalan to JB
Anyway, back to the story, where was I? Oh yes, we are supposed to leave right after Subuh prayer. That would be around 7++ am right? Guess what? You got it right. We were late! Yep. It's all because my mom insisted to wait for one of my sister, Linda to finish her exam in UiTM and follow us to JB. Well, that would make us leaving the house around 12pm. By 11.30am, she reached home from campus. To make it more interesting, my other sister Ida sent our cousins to Gombak, and she reached home aound 1.30pm. From 7am to 1.30pm was not a very ideally timing to start a very long journey to JB.
Then the 6 of us boarded into an ALZA. Hahaha. yes. With our size, people will be surprised how the 6 of us could fit in the ALZA, with luggage. Well, that would be my last trip (if more than 2 hours) in alza. Got headache, shoulder & backpain plus sore legs for cramping at the back seat for couple of hours. Next trip we'll take 2 cars ya so we could shop alot more. heheheh
So, when we reached JB, ayah said his friend went out of town. Hmm. Nice. We were in JB anyway, so better make full use of it. I noticed since my last time sitting still, I couldnt keep my eyes open for more than 15 minutes. wonder if i have a problem. Well, Mak and Ayah were really tired when we checked in the hotel. The hotel we stayed was The Straits View Hotel. Quite cheap, only RM160 per room. However, the reception person should be more sensitive towards your guests. Maybe you guys could attend Customer Service course before dealing with a customer. Seriously. Please do that.
The rooms were very clean, spacious and nice. Sadly, you can't expect much when you stay in a very budget hotel right? The cleaning ladies were very helpful and friendly. Thanks alot kakak for your help. That night we went to Danga Bay (coz my brother was dying to check it out!). Duh. Danga Bay boring. Not sure what's best there. I dont really have time to check it out so we went around to the places we knew. After Danga Bay, it's Pasar Karat time! The night market is very similar to Uptown in Klang Valley except for the poor arrangement for displayed items, lighting and parking. Parking not so bad kot, Uptown Setapak is much worst than Pasar Karat. I dont really have the photos with me now. Waiting for my brother to upload it. Recently becoming really lazy with photography. And disappointed with bb's camera. It sucks. Ok lah. We can't ungrateful. haish. Btw, I bought a nice hat, dont know what do they call it. Gonna post it soon!
Okay, what else. It will be a draggy story. So i will save the part where i met my soon-to-be-brother-in-law hahahah. next post. promise!

Nasi Goreng & Alergi
Than, during my first or second year of working, i developed allergy for chicken. Any chicken products, as long as it contained chicken, I couldn't take it. I stop eating chicken for couple of months and everything goes back to normal.
And nowadays, the allergy can come from anything, too much dust, too much meat, too much chicken. Looks like anything and everything. it shows how much toxin i had in my body. And it's not easy to know when can u eat this and that without having the allergy appears.
For the past couple of days, I had this allergy every time I eat meat. Either chicken, meat or fish. It's driving me crazy coz I have no idea what to eat. As solution, I think I should start bringing home cooked food to office. let's try it and see if the allergy will go away. I ate fish for dinner with eggs and some veges. half an hour later my body was covered by red spots.
So, I had prepared nasi goreng (fried rice) for tomorrow. No meat all. Just anchovies (does it consider as meat?) some carrots, cabbage and onions. With a bit of oyster sauce. Doesn't taste as good as Ayah cooked. but it's ok I think. Shall we try it? For couple of days? Hehehe. Chayuk chayuk. Oh ya. I'm watching the proposal while writing this, luv Sandra Bullock!!
Did I say it already?

Ugly Betty

I watched Betty recently and how she's dealing with goodbye. Betty is a character where she believes there's always hope and somehow things will turn around for everybody. and i believe her. Seeing how much she endure from Wilhemina Slatter just to write her own piece of thoughts inspires me. Nothing in this world come so easily. if it is, you'll be luckiest person i guess. coz as far as i cud remember, i have to earn every single thing in my life. you can't expect people to accept you just because they have to. you have to work it out, put some efforts just to be around with the people you love and like. and maybe, they'll love you back. maybe? sounds so negative. okay, definitely they'll love you back if you make efforts to do the same.
a friend of mine recently asked me why i never introduce him to my friends or family even though we are really close. before this i did wonder why i never do that. and now i know why. usually, i treat people with the same kind of treatment that i want people to treat me. you know, what goes around comes around. and i believe it. so if i've been treated badly, i dont give a damn of what happened to u. u see, coz when i like u as my friend, i usually dont mind putting up with u. of coz i will expect u to at least say hi occasionally and maybe hang out once a while. coz i know all of us has our own business and part of it would be being with each other.
i can't imagine how a person could live alone without their friends and family. or how could a person expect everybody to take care of them when they dont even bother about others. it's not something that just happened. it something u can choose. u choose to be happy when u wake up from ur sleep or u can choose to frown. u choose to be strong when u face any obstacles in life or u can choose to give up. same as friends, u can choose to be around them and take care of each other or u can choose to be alone and miserable. well, i supposed u can choose which person that u can ignore oso. heheh.
to all my super gorgeous friends, lydia, ain, awe, xue, mynah, ecah, esni, apap, arul and the rest of the gang.. which too many to mention here.. thanks so much for putting up with me and my bestfriend: moodiness/temper. hahaha. to my beloved super duper family, mak ayah, linda, ida, ikmal.. owh plus alin, bear and the rest of the clan, thanks for always being there for me. especially when i go wacko and over emo. heheh.. u r guys are the best.
to betty.. you inspire me! :)

why jalan-jalan is the best therapy?
i celebrated my birthday early this month, it was one of the best. even though there's no cake or party. i've been surrounded by gorgeous and lovely people who wished me all day long. i couldnt stop smiling. thanks gorgeous people!! you know who you are. then there's somebody i always thought would support me in everything i do ruined everything. manage to ruin my mood for the whole week! then i realize i am sooooo bloody stupid for listening to somebody who just cant stand to see me happy. i should have just ignore him from the very beginning.
after a while, i know things that would hurt you will make you stronger, i hope i am. and thanks to you, the jalan-jalan makes me feel me again. i luv going around and explore new things. its something fun to do. some people said i'm wasting my money by going jalan-jalan. but to me, it's something i need, a therapy for my over emo-temper-depress feeling. plus, doc said i should learn to manage my stress and this is how i'm doing it. may be some of us will be happy when they go for shopping, or some of us just stay home to relax, some enjoy good food, some spending their time with the love ones and for me, jalan-jalan would be the best.
Life is a bliss. Alhamdulillah.

Satay Zul
Satay Zul, take a guess where is it? Hihihih.. in Kuantan. Last March, MMU had a President's Roadtour, all over Malaysia. one of the stop is Kuantan, in fact, it's our first stop.after a long day from KL, setting up the hall, entertaining visitors and guests, dismantle the setup and finally it's time for us to find something to eat. it's about 11pm already. Cheong, FIST guy from melaka suggest we go for satay zul. it's not far from the hotel we are staying. he claimed it's one of the best satay place in Kuantan. Anyone from Kuantan agreed on this? pls let me know ya!
satay zul is located in mid of Kuantan city centre. it's very near to Vistana Hotel. and you can easily find it from the main road. what do they serves there? hmm.. basically satay, lots of it with many variety to choose from. if u don't like chicken satay, u can hv meat. or deer, or perut and etc etc. lots of it. nope! no vege satay ever exist (if u r wondering about it!)
one of the special dish they serve is Nasi Dagang. Which taste very nice. i thought Nasi dagang use special kind of rice for it but here they serve it with white rice which smells slightly different from normal white rice. not sure what they've put in. anyway, it's very nice to have something to enjoy after a very very very long day of work.

Birthday Bash

Recently, we've celebrated kak Juwi's birthday!! Happy belated birthday Kak Juwi. We went out for makan-makan at Secret Recipe in Cyberjaya. (where else? It's lunchtime!) Here are some photos for the day!
Sometimes, we took things for granted. Didn't realize what we have around us might be the best that works for us now. Best place to work, best collagues, best environment. Compare it to my previous workplace, i know i should be really gratefull for all the stuff that He blessed me with. Thanks
Manhattan Fish Market

As i said before, Friday lunch break is the best day for you to go around and experience a new restaurant or cafe with your buddies. Hihihih. Where did we go this time?As per title, Manhattan Fish Market in Alamanda, Putrajaya.
Simple deco, very attentive staff and cozy environment makes the restaurant slightly different from others. What do u expect? It's franchisee, of course it looks the same as other MFM around Malaysia. Dunno what i'm mumbling about.
We had Dori fish for lunch, at first it taste very nice, after finished the first fillet, i don't think i can finish the second fillet. i think it's because it's deep fry, the oil tends to make you feel noxious. not really good eh. Okay lah, after settling our bill, all of us got fridge magnet. hihihi. something good for me!
Penang House

After all the meals and trips we took to Penang House in Street Mall, i don't think i've ever mentioned it in my blog. i wonder why. they have quite nice food at very reasonable price there. still i didn't think of putting it up on this blog.
One of small things that makes me happy is having a good meal with good company. Hahaha, u know who u r! Penang House is just at Street Mall, to those who still doesn't know where Street Mall is, u can google it here
http://maps.google.com.my/maps/mpl?ie=UTF8&moduleurl=http://maps.google.com.my/help/maps/local_search/mapplet.html&mapclient=google&f=q&hl=en&utm_campaign=en_US&utm_medium=hpp&utm_source=en_US-hpp-apac-my-gns-gm
Okay lah! Penang House specialties are meals from Penang, except Nasi Kandar, others are serve here. Rojak Buah, Char Koey Teow, Fish Head Curry, and etc etc. Lots to choose from. The one that we had the other day were Cantonese Gravy Beef Koey Teow, Rojak Buah, Beef Fried Rice, Chicken Paprika with white rice, Char Koey Teow.. can't remember what else we had that day. Of course you can't compare the food in Penang House with the one that we had in Penang itself. It's totally different. I think in Penang, they might have their own secret recipe that makes it very special and unique. Even if u want to open a cafe or restaurant with Penang's foods, u have to go to Penang and study it, master it before you can open your own Penang Style Restaurant/Food.
Hope you guys would enjoy this. Nothing much to say coz the food is just average. not as good as Penang. HUhuhuh.. I miss penang badly now. I'm preparing something better for you. so check out my blog ye!

Laksa Janggus
Sure it's fun to drive around and try new stuff, new food and new environment. sounds like i'm off to somewhere not in malaysia. hihih. i'm went back to penang last weekend and some how manage to squeeze in a lil trip to have laksa janggus with my bff, awe.
we went out for wolverine, tickets sold out and there's only couple of seats left in the front row. frustated, we tried to check other movies; it's just the same. i think people are using labour day as relaxing day or movie day like what we r doing now. we bought the front row seats. lucky enough the seats tilt back a bit so u won't cramp your neck while watching 2 hours of Hugh Jackman (wolverine), Danny Henney (zero) and Taylor Kitchs (gambit). Hehehe.. googled them after the movie.
so, after having so much of them, (their images planted in my head up until now) awe and i went off to balik pulau, even though she's staying in penang, she haven't tried laksa janggus yet. what's so special about laksa janggus?
honestly speaking, i'm not a huge fan of laksa. i've tried few laksa penang before. a friend of mine, shara is a big sucker for laksa. she can have it everyday. there are few places i went to and tried the laksa, like kuala kangsar laksa (sucks!), laksa shack (even worse! i don't think they should be allow to operate!).
laksa janggus serves penang style laksa. for those who doesn't know, there are different kind of laksa in malaysia, laksa penang, laksa kedah, laksa kelantan, laksa johor, laksa singapura. Laksa Janggus offers laksa penang, small bowl for RM1.20 and regular bowl for RM2.oo and u can't even finish the regular bowl. it's a lot. there's other meal as well, kuey teow soup, mee hoon soup and some cucur udang, pisang goreng and of course rojak! u have to q up to get your laksa and drinks. oh ya! apart from laksa, u should try ABC. air batu campur or in penang they are known as ais kacang.
don't be confused ya, laksa janggus (janggus is cashewnut) doesn't has cashewnut serves with any meals. it's just happened that the place is located under cashewnut's tree. lovely place. lovely village environment.
how to get there? well, basically u have to get to penang first, then just follow a signboard to Balik Pulau, u can take Relau or Genting to get to Balik Pulau. Once u r in Balik Pulau, search for Pulau Bentong or Kampung Perlis, once u've turn in, turn left on the first junction, drive on till u see a pink mosque/masjid, turn right on it just drive straight, u can see there's lots of cars parked alongside of the road. laksa janggus would be on your right. it's open everyday except wednesday, 2pm till 7.30pm.
have fun!

Malaysia Most Wanted Food
Big Plate

After quite sometime i didn't update my blog, feels good to update it during office hour! hihihih :P
Okay, this time i would like to introduce BIG PLATE to you guys. it's located in Subang Perdana, near Kampung Melayu. You can xs it from Kg Melayu or from Shah Alam. Dunno how to get there? Use Google Map. Hihihih.
Okay, a friend of mine introduce me to this restaurant long time ago. since i'm a student. now i feel old! U can see the restaurant from the main road. Nothing much to comment on the interior deco. looks the same over the years.
i went there with my sisters, linda & ida. i had lamb chop - can't remember the full name of it. My sis was having chicken subang. as u can see in the pic, the presentation is very nice and the price is very affordable! the best thing about BIG PLATE is their mushroom soup. don't forget to order it for your appetizer.
share me your experience ye!
